This was the first ever track I made using Ableton live. It's basically a 35 minute live cut which sat around as an unfinished project, the intention being revisting to edit and arrange properly at some later date. I always felt the full length jam would be too long and perhaps overly self indulgent to merit a release without editing down. After repeated listens years later I began to feel that the slow progression of the track would suffer with editing, and, that it was actually this progression creating the journey the track traverses. Thankfully Tim from Somehow had a likeminded opinion and his support convinced me to go ahead and release the live version. With some attentative mastering by David at Entropy Records, I was really happy something I had literally thrown together in the process of finding my way around some new software about 5 years earlier was fit to reach a wider audience.
